Workout + Sweat Beats Stress
It’s been a stressful time lately. Been hit on all sides.
But that’s not what this post is about
What I will share is after a big cry, I got up and worked out. No, I didn’t feel like it. But I knew I needed it.
So I turned up my music – hard and angry.
Pushed out 20 mins of high intensity cardio where I sweated like crazy. Then went heavy on the legs.
My a** was beat.
How do I feel after (besides breathless)?
Calmer, happier, hopeful, at peace.
No, the stress hasn’t disappeared, but I feel better able to handle it.
When you are at a point of feeling you can’t deal with anything more. When you’re just done.
Have a cry, scream out loud, honor your feelings. Then move your body.
Go as hard as you are able. Work up a sweat, get out of breath.
Release your emotions into your workout.
You’ll feel better and able to think more clearly. You’ll give your mind a break. Giving it time to process and come up with ideas and solutions.
And it just feels good.
So go hard and find peace.
